Ferrari 430 in Miami
they had a new 430 at the ferrari show in palm beach this past weekend (cavallino) and they were starting it up every hour or so, that car sounds awesome stock. almost like the carrera GT.
you should have seen some of the old people when the revved the engine.
bottom line, the car sounds and looks badass.

Well it all makes sense now. I saw a blk 430 in my little village (just up the road from PB) sitting in the parking lot (right next to a Viper, uhhh) of this little Italian resturant. I was driving by and the Viper and 430 were the only two cars in the lot so I did a quick u turn and went back, sure as hell a 430 in all its glory. Bad a$$ pretty much sums it up.
it's probaby the pics, but the only criticism i have of the car's design is that it looks a little ***-heavy which makes it look like a hatchback.
i'm sure an in person experience will change all that. maybe.

I like the car but the rear has to grow on me.. It also looks to high from the rear due to design.
OMG! Can't wait to get mine at the end of the year. This thing with HRE Wheels will be so hot.
i heard they were having problem with the F1 tranny and most of the early production will be 6 speed.

I'M over the new car craze, I'm glad I started out with ferraris, then diablos... not to mention the english lotus's and Aston's.... They are all garage queens, not to mention reliability is out of the mix as well. my 1999 diablo had a, back in the days- suspension problems...lights coming on like a X-mas tree. my busness partners 98 diablo, which only had 2300 miles compared to my 8K miles.... had a bad clutch, head casket blown twice, driveshaft problems, 3 oil leeks, embarrasing "no starts" in front of chicago downtown hot spots.... and list goes on. the ferrari360, had check engine lights and numerous trips to the dealer. I'm not even going to get into the English cars.
The one thing that was ausome on both the ferrai and the Lambo was the tranny and clutch. Its inlike anything ive ever drivenI speak from personal experience. Ask anyone in Chicago and mention my name- Dj markski from B96 Fm... they will tell you that I had these cars.
Now, unless u guys just want to keep them in ur garage, like most people do- then be my guest. Obviously then, you will not have any problems.
I went to Miami and back to Chicago in My stage 4 TT... lets see if we find a ferrai or a lambo that can do that.... and keep up with me.
I learned the hard way. Nothing compares to a Porsche... some of you just dont know it yet.
P.S. @ the unvailing of the new Lambo in Italy in 2001, I was at the factory with my bus. partner along with the guys from My Lambo dealership....
@ at the unvailing.... lots of smoke but no go. The car actualy did not start, with all the press in the world watching and taking pictures. that was the week of 911... September 7-10 of 2001. we got stuck in France and couldnt come back for a few days. Thats Italian for you guys.

Whats up Markski,
Yes, I'm probably the best person to proove your italian car troubles.
(I was ther service manager at the Lambo dealer, we got to know each other pretty well.)
Glad to see were both driving Porsches ;-)
I won't work for another Italian car line, as I also learned from my mistakes and now work at Carlsen Porsche, in Cali now...
P.S. How is Peter, still drivin the white Lambo ?

I find it hard to believe regarding the Italian car woes ... their are numerous people even on this board that have had their Ferraris sometimes even as much as 1,500 miles on the odometer and nothing ever has gone wrong, proving that the reliability issue is old-hat and just a myth.
One esteemed gentlemen was at 500 miles when he stated Ferrari's reliability superiority.
