No your fans need to work and you need to get them fixed asap generating slot of heat will hurt both your engine and your engines performance

Question: sometimes I park in my garage and the fan goes on. I will open the lid and let it sit for a few mins under the impression that being open allows it to cool more effectively than the fan. I have no measurement to base this on, am I off base or do others do this as well. Sorry about the hijack
