Input on this 996 Turbo?

Hello,
Just curious if anyone has any thoughts on this 2002 996 Turbo tip? Their posting lists $49,800/22k miles as their best price (seems in line with current market pricing unless I'm missing something). I've noticed there are a number of FL members so I would also be curious to know if anyone has heard of or dealt with the seller before? Thanks.

Dope car on looks alone. Get a PPI done from a local reputable shop not associated with F1 and make sure everything is on the up and up. Not sure if the pricing is as good as it can be, but if its the right car for you and price seems fair, snag it. Get us some pics if you pick it up. GL!

PPI from someone else is absolutely critical. Price may be high, but that's just me. I paid 39k for an 01 with 42k mi in the Northwest and the cars always cost more up here. Check what's sold recently on ebay with the same miles. Black cars seem to go for more. June/July is probably the highest price time to buy a sportscar.

But, If you like it and it fits your budget, go for it(after the independent PPI).

Good point. It may be best to wait for February to roll around again. Yeah, the PPI is a must as I think an aftermarket warranty will be necessary. Thanks.

Ebay really. My friend bought an m3 from florida off ebay nothing but problems. They going to let you take it to an independent shop off ebay? Thought you had too bid and win and just trust that it was what they said.

What I was saying is that ebay lists how cars traded for the last month. ebay sets the bottom of the market. And it's a totally buyer beware.

fwiw, I've purchased 3 or 4 cars and bikes off of ebay without problems. PPIs are your friend. If no PPI, no bid.

And February is your friend!
