Installation; Time Required Question
I've never heard of them before Mario dropped his car off there.
Mario - sometime these things take time if you want it done right. I personally wouldn't sweat it. But then, I think I'm a bit more patient than you are when it comes to this stuff.

I'd rather wait 3 months for flawless work than 2 weeks for almost flawless work.
the shop looks pretty decent and churns plenty of nice cars. since all your new parts are present, wouldn't worry about it being a cash flow issue. But there should be progress and if there isn't either they're waiting on something that's not been made aware of to you or like someone else has suggested, they're flipping the faster jobs first. I'd start counting the weeks at point when all parts are present. it's always better to do all in one go. and would refrain from linking the shop to this post, same logic as not pissing off the staff at a restaraunt before you've eaten. presume the engine's coming out for this, it's easier to drop out the engine to do the inlet pipes if they have the proper tools. I'd say all the hardware could be completed in 3 days easy with all parts available. if you're in close vicinity to the shop, visit them as often as possible. GL
this your car? what rims are those?

Thanks guys. Scott is the Buddha when it comes to patience. I'm learning how to deal with it. Scott's right, at this stage of the game I'd much rather that they do it right, than do it fast. Yea that's my car, the wheels are Champion Magnesiums that I powder coated black. They just have to lower the engine to do the inlets and injectors, but it still takes time.

They had most of the parts last Thursday, the only thing they were missing was a piece of the plenum that EVO missed which arrived Friday. I guess they don't like to start anything until they have everything, which will almost be a week. You're probably right, they're doing the quick flip jobs until they can dedicate my guy to my car for a full day or 2. They have been around for almost 10 years, mostly track oriented. A lot of race cars, drivers and such. They do a lot of Dinan work. Reputable, just slow in this case. They installed my race clutch a few years ago and it took 2 days. Breathe in................breathe out.....................

That's exactly what TPC told me. They didn't want to start putting my motor back together until all parts had arrived. In the meantime, they could catch up on all the smaller profit producing jobs that keeps them in business. Makes perfect sense to me.
Sounds like your guy is on the right track. I don't see that he's doing anything out of the ordinary.
On another note, it's a cool 75 degree night with low humidity. I just went for an hour long drive at 1.5 BAR. Holy crap!!!

9eleven,
I guess they do not care much. Not many shops handle high ticket cars. I had same problem while ago. My pre-arrangement 1 week work turned to 7 weeks with frustration. During waiting, all I heard were plenty of "It will be done in couple days BS".
