Installation; Time Required Question
How long did it take anyone here or how long in your opinion should it take a shop to remove (turbos, intercoolers, plenum, injectors)? Then send out the turbos and plenum for a modification, get those back and complete the install which also included a set of DVs, an oil pressure gauge sending unit, and replace the front grill vent with a carbon fiber grill vent. 2 weeks, 3 weeks...................4 weeks...........................
Is 6 weeks getting on the ridiculous side or am I being impatient?

Mario, from other turbo rebuild threads I've seen, it depends on who is doing the work. Blouch{I think that is the correct name} is one of the main re-builders and is supposedly swamped with work. If Bob sent them to Blouch, it takes awhile.

IMO, provided the turbos are not a huge delay, all the rest of the work is less than a week, less than a day actually....
My turbos were turned around in a day from Blouch. Must have been a slow time...

Larry, the turbos took a week. I can tell you that they sat on the car and did nothing from the day I dropped it off (May 20th) until June 1st. When the turbos were shipped, it took a week, thanks to Markski. Then they missed sending a part to EVO for a modification (plenum) that delayed it an extra week, but the other parts have been there just sitting on the shelf. I've been told that starting tomorrow they are dedicating their head technician to my car until it's completed. Am I being a hard *** or is this taking way too long?

Anything more than a couple weeks is unreasonable in my book, for that little work. They are probably a small shop and need to take in other work to keep busy while they are "waiting for parts" for your car, and then your parts come in, but can't stop the other work?

Maybe I should e-mail the shop owner the link to this thread. Unfortunately, I got a feeling it won't matter to him.
