My buddy's 997 GT3 in a ditch
I've also been teaching people how to drive on race tracks for a while. Porsche Club of America thought "enough" of my abilities on track that they gave me a national certificication for teaching others
This guy needs driving lessons...
Just kidding. I don't know if you missed it but, I agreed with you! Driving lessons would have definitely helped, and almost always do...
Not an " Accident " that was a collision......IMHO
And was the PSM out to lunch? A common mistake for novices is thinking they are better than the car. In the rain don't click off your PSM because you think you are can handle it!

Both front and rear bumpers gone says to me the crash started with oversteer, the car hit *** first and then hit nose first into something else.
If it had recently rained and there was a lot of standing water I can see how it could be purely an accident - Sport Cups are terrible in the rain, they hydroplane like it's nothing. That said, why on earth was he driving wet roads on sport cups in the first place?

None of it makes sense, as how it's been explained... And "hitting a slick spot" and ending up under a semi? Everyone's being nice, but come on guys, on the other side of your keyboards you have to be wondering the same thing I am... This guy needs driving lessons...
NH.

Thats not really what an accident implies... I dont know the details, but I am sure he didnt mean to do this, he made a mistake(or a few mistakes)
mistake = accident
Exactly. They happen. When I was in my late-teens to twenties I boasted that I would NEVER get into an accident, and were it to ever happen, that it wouldn't be my fault... Now that I'm in my mid-thirties, I'm still completely clean. But I've noticed myself slowing down enough that I don't think I could be quite that confident anymore...
Bullshyte... Dude, if he can't drive that car from dry pavement to wet in a straight line, then he should not be driving it. I ran on PS Cups for a while on the street and in rain... It isn't rocket science. But hey, here in disneyland, let's not upset the illusion that everyone can drive and has plenty of madd skilz yo!

Please...

Please..... Here in Texas (Houston) it often rains in small patches across the city. He had no idea that it had just rained 2 miles up the highway. He was driving along on perfectly dry road, then he was instantly on a stretch of very wet road. How hard is that to understand?
It seems to me that none of us were present during the collision. We weren't at the scene....we don't know the circumstances around the crash...we don't know anything about the position and speed of the surrounding vehicles.
I don't see the title Forensic Accident Investigator in anyone's signature. So I'm going to assume that everything stated here is speculation - including whether or not driver skill had anything to do with the crash.
