hydraulic line 99642337790

plus the plug and hex cap, and 4 bolts to attach. I would just buy a vendors kit and get support. The $150 you save is not worth the trouble of putting this together, but hey each to their own

From dgreen78

The OEM Porsche parts you will need you can get them cheap at Pelican Parts online (total $368.00). You will need the following:

Slave Cylinder 99611623790
Master Cyl 99642317106
clutch assist spring 99642308113
hydraulic line 99642337790

You will also need some DOT4 fluid. Optional is the DOT4 cap so down the road a tech doesnt put it Pentosin. I dont have the part # but it is the same part as your brake fluid cap.

Instructions can be found in this post:https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ns-help-2.html

Evoms kit is ~1k. Is it the bracket that makes it so much more then jsut getting the parts? Who else has these conversion kits available?

I just looked into one as well, John from Speedtech just sent me a bunch of info that seems straight forward, check him out. There was nothing about removing the tranny? EVO kit seemed straight forward, good diagram instructions.

This kit has been done in a garage on jack stands with the tranny in, but is much easier and safer on a lift. The tranny does not have to come out. IMHO, you are beter off buying the complete kit and having support as tvurt mentioned.

So what makes the 1000$ kits different from buying the parts yourself from a dealer for 360$ ?

1) the bracket
2) the bolt set, and plugs
3) support

worth it imo. The parts are $389, and say 200 for a bracket, then you have to source the bolts and plugs. Huge pain in the butt.

The total is actually a bit more than $360. $360 gets you the master cyl, slave cyl, clutch assist spring, and hydraulic line. You need another $200 for the bracket that attaches the cylinder to the transmission. The kits also come with a DOT4 fluid cap to make sure no one puts pentosin in the reservoir. They also come with a pair of brass hose plugs and a hose clamp. I think they also throw in some DOT4 brake fluid. My guess is that to put the parts list together yourself comes out to less than $600.

The extra $400 gets you someone to call if it all goes wrong

that's an expensive phone call

thx for the info. when you say 200$ for the bracket - is that to have it fabricated?

Anybody that has done this conversion; is there any difference in feel at the steering wheel since your taking away the power assisted clutch from the steering pump?
