Question Homelink

Does anyone know if the 997 sun visor which houses the homelink buttons is the same as the 996 visor and are all homelink curcuits housed in the visor? If so it would be an easy way of adding homelink to the 996.

The 997 doesn't have the homelink in the sunvisors.

The 996 didn't have the homelink option.
There are no Porsche sun visors with an intergrated homelink.
The 997 has the buttons in the roof console and the remote transmittor behind the front bumper.

We plan to offer a homelink retrofit for the 993/996 any day soon.

Gert,

Please keep us up on the 996 Homelink release. I'm in if it's an easy install.

Regards

Gert, can you build it into the batwing between the seat heater switches?

Regardless of where it goes, I hope a group buy could be set up as I would be very interested.

Homelink is a great feature, I don't know why I thought it was in the 997 visor. JonA4, I've had 3 Audi's with Homelink and it works very well with regular and rolling code systems. I would also be interested in a 996 retrofit.

I hate using a separate unit. I almost pursued the Garage Door Hack but never got around to it. I would be interested in a Homelink option.

Homelink

Here's a pic of my Homelink. Bought the "key" switches from local P-dealer. I press the keys for 2 links, bottom of left switch for 3rd.
Since this pic I have installed the ashtray delete option.
