Question Replaced window regulator...new question.

As the title suggests, today I ventured inside my driver's door and replaced my window regulator. Gotta love the internet and DIYs .

Everything actually went well, glass slides easily now without crunching noises and lurching stops/starts. The seal is good, no water intrusion and no noticeable air intrusions.

Here's my question--the window does not drop as much when I open the door as the passenger's side does. I honestly don't remember how much the window dropped before I switched the regulator. The window drops maybe 1.5mm, JUST enough to clear the seal. But it is enough--there is no rubbing, the window clears and then pops back up under the ridge when the door closes again. Is this something I need to worry about? Is there an adjustment I need to make or a recalibration I need to do? Or, since it clears fine, should I just be happy that I saved myself a few hundred $$$ in labor

Thanks all, I love 6speedonline

Thumbs up no worry

You should be ok the window's old regulator was stretched thus the long drop of the window. The new regulator cable is tight and you don't have as much drop. Very likely this is your situation.

If it clears the seal...you're good. That's all it was meant to do.

Sweet--then I'll consider the job a success. Nothing like the satisfaction of doing things yourself (and saving a few $ too)

Any way you can PM me the DIY's links? I am going to need to do my passenger regulator as I hear the crunching and the window does not drop without being pushed down manually.
