Hi guys, new to this forum. Regularly use another one but ran into in it the search of a new toy, came accross 6speedonline.. Great forum... Currently a 964 owner based in Malaysia, and have been hankering after a 996 turbo.. Found the best car amongst many but the combo of white and grey interior, coupled with very dark tint and black techart rims didn't meet the approval of the minister of home affairs..Apparantly too boy racer for a near 50 year old which was a fair call. Scoured the net for pictures of White 996 turbo and came accross pictures of 'Legendr34's car... I have you to thank for my new immaculate white 996 turbo appearing on my driveway hopefully this Friday.. Will post pictures when it arrives minus the tinted windows and the black techarts magically repainted in Silver... One question, think the GT2 wing looks fantastic on your car, it is just a straight bolt on ?

 

congrats, glad to you see you got a rare white one. the wing was an addon and it bolts on to the factory equipment. you can get it here

Thanks..the photos of your car just totally stitched the deal for me... Love the wheels as well, but I'll see how mine turn out before considering other options. If they are already silver then a different set of silver ones could always appear without drawing too much attention :-).. Sports cars in Malaysia are frightengly expensive (am paying USD120k) for an 8 year old car but compared to the original owner who paid USD280k when new I shouldnt complain... Still petrol is cheap, excellent roads with rarely enforced speed limits, use of Sepang international F1 circuit for less than 80 USD a day what more can you ask for... On on some our drive events you can even pay to have a police escort to help you speed safely... Anyway will send some pics once I have the car and look forward to plenty of posting... Btw the car was originally silver, the owner preferred white.. Not normally keen on resprays but the owner was fanatical abt the car and it looks and drives like a brand newy...

 

White is definitely the color of choice! haha.. Congrats and post them pics when you get them.
