TT vs Vet
after spending a lot of time in the new c6 down in florida i do agree with chuck that it felt like a big boat compared to my stock X50 TT....you get what you pay for though - the msrp on my TT was about $90k more than the new vette
The new z06 has me impressed (so far from what i have seen and read) not he standard vette after spending so much time in it this past month...
but for $50k it is a great deal but i "think" a nice SMG M3 with a few mods could be a better value overall for that money (at least fit and finish-wise)

Stock Vette is no where near the same speed as a stock Turbo. In every mag comparison the Vette lost to the slower C2S in straight line acceleration. Oh and there claimed 0-60 and 1/4 mile times were also typical GM and at least .4 seconds faster than tested in at least 4 magazines. American Car companies are always so optimistic with their numbers. Its a joke, thats why I can't wait to see what the Z06 really does. Not GM's bull**** numbers!!

Its really hard to tell if I can beat him only because racing on a freeway with traffic has its own limitations... stupid thing but I could not miss the opportunity...
I think I could take him based on my acceleration but he was just a more aggressive driver so he was not afraid to pull back on the gas...

He was sure he would take me cause he did not know what I had. I also raced a SL55 with Renntech ECU and the works... these two Indian guys were sure they had me... nope, they were wrong. However, the SL55 ran a flat 12.0 @121mph.
BTW, I was on my 19 inch rims with AVS yokahamas.
