Bill has owned about a dozen Porsches, most recently a 2001 Turbo which has been turned into "money pit" by Rave. He and I are good friends and I make fun of his Ferrari as friends might, but i have nothing but respect for the brand. Some of you might be haters that new Ferraris are expensive and tough to get and some of you others might be true Porschephiles and just think of Ferraris as overpriced rich-boy toys, but this is like arguing Ford vs. Chevy. To also assault his other vehicles is childish, what's next? Mother jokes. Not a word from you Scott down in Houston.
Can we just move on (and all get along)?

Dr. Bill-
Sorry this thread has turned into F-car bashing. I started the thread to simply discuss the concept of depreciation with high demand Ferrari's and show that the basic calculation most people use is flawed. I have nothing but respect for Ferrari's, they truly are incredible cars.
As for any disrespect you have received on this board, I think it is a product of the type of harsh humor you and red devil share together. The humor is fine between two friends that know eachother but on a public message board much of the lightheartedness is lost and strangers that are unfamiliar with your "lovingly abrasive" relationship with red devil misinterpret it as just abrasive.

Carnut, i see your point (and moderator's as well) but it has been posted several times we a friend's doing some good-natured ribbing and the people joining in are members with hundreds, if not thousands of posts. To think some of it is serious is just plain stupid and shows you (not you personally) haven't been paying attention or read the entire thread. Most regular members here know who is who and may even know someone elses business better than their own. Let's all not take ourselves too seriously, it's just cars and car talk ...

I'm sorry to say that what all the guys on ferrarichat say about many porsche owners is true. i try to chat on this website and defend porsche owners when possible. but after hearing these immature statements about ferrari are bullsh-t. to put down ferrari like this is quite immature and unjustified. i guess it's true what many ferrari owners say about porsche owners- they are just envious and ferrari-wannabes. I'm done with 6speed.....

. btw, after this thread i'm done.
This whole thread has turned into the usual bashing session. We have been down this road before both manufacturers make great cars..bottom line Ferrari's do hold better value , when purchased at sticker..how this thread could have started off with those ridiculous comparisions using the over sticker prices Ferrari always gets when the cars are introduced. As well you just wait as the the 360 spyders hold there value as there is no sign of the 430 s intro yet...the 355 spyders actually went up very slightly when the 360 coupe came out...
