Funky Suspension Noise when hitting bumps - large and small

Car has Pss9 - initially set to GT2 height by Gmg years ago, but was raised 1.5" 6 months ago.

I previously had noted some twanging when turned to full lock right side that turned out to be related to droplinks and sway bar/axle contact.

lately (last few months) , Ive been noticing that there a clunk (sounds like bottoming out) even when rolling over cats eyes on the highway.

I had my car at the body shop (putting skidplates on new nose) and asked the guys to check out the suspension. They said the front axle was bad (torn boot and axle makes clicking noise)

my question to the wizards of 6speed - is whether the busted axle would cause this noise?

thanks!

I have JIC Cross coilovers.. and had experienced the exact same sound. Even going over the little turtle bumpers on the road and 5mph would recreate the sound. Turns out it was a bad rear coilover.. had to send the damper back to JIC for a replacement. I would guess that to be your problem.

I also have the JIC Cross 8/12 setup. I get the popping noise all the time as well. From what I was told it was same issue as the posters in legendr34's link have and have fixed. I'll probably check the same top bolts when it bothers me enough, for now I am ok with it.

I have pss10's and i get twang when steering full lock, and then I am also getting some clicking / clonking noise from the front area. Strangely only when car warms up? Like something is lose in the shock area but it isn't. Ideas?

FWIW same post I have on Legendr34 link:

I use "Boeshield" T-9 instead of WD40, we service a lot of multi piont locking hurricane impact doors, the WD40 attracts dirt and gets gummy, the Boeshield is made by the aero company "Boeing", stays very clean, great for polishing stainless steel even cleans glass?? We can only purchase through West Marine and now I hear Home Depot carries it?
http://www.boeshield.com/ great for cleaning electrical and preventing build up. FWIW

911mike is infamous around these parts
I had a similar issue with a 'clunk' on rough roads and small bumps. Felt like something loose in the front end. Checked everything and all felt tight.
Fixed the problem by tightening the spare tire and securing the air compressor and tool kit in the trunk! Solid as a rock now! Hope this helps some of you.
