Are you sure it is becuse of the tires? It can be the suspension or PSM.

I think it's tires mainly because the car performed better with the SportContact2 tires.

Anyway being RWD without a good coilover system doesn't help I'm afraid..

I have the same problem on hard braking. ABS kicks in way too early.

Zippy, what did you have to modify on your TT to make those sizes fit, and do they fit without any issues? What wheels are you using with them? Where did you get the RA1's from? Thanks!

Hi Justin, you have to roll the rear fenders (which is actually very simple) and reshape the rear plastic fender liners with a heat gun. A decent amount of negative camber also helps. -1.5' all around should work, depending on ride height. I have BBS Motorsport wheels in GT2 dimersions.

The reason I asked is because I was on my way in for a retune. The car hit a very angry 510 4WHP and 540 4WTQ on GIACs conservative dyno. That's an honest 660+ crank HP and 700 ft/lb. 2nd gear really rollerskates for a second before the viscous diff kicks in and rockets the car. BTW I'm not talking about powershifting (I don't do that to my car). Just a 2nd gear roll at 2,000 and floor it. It's a total hoot!!!

4th gear pulls like 2nd used to.

I went from PS2s to Nitto NT-01s and the grip is night and day. Nittos are noisy as hell, they hum like a swarm of bees, but when I mash it, the tires grip like glue. I think I'm right around 575 rwtq, 575 rwhp.

I went RWD about the same time I hit 600 whp. I noticed severe traction problems with my PS2s all the way though 1st and second gears (ie I avoided flooring it in these gears because it was frightening and very hard on the tires and drivetrane). I changed the coilovers, lowered the car, and put on larger sized Toyo R888s and the problem was solved. She would even hold WOT in first gear! As the R888s have aged they grip a little less but still much better than PS2s. They have even lasted longer than PS2s. They are noisier but I will never go back to PS2s...
