FINALLY...the 996tt is here!
engine stuttering
It still sounds like a fuel problem to me. Maybe the fuel pressure regulator or fuel sending unit. Do you have any upgrades? I upgraded my fuel system to handle my engine mods.
Welcome - Nice looking ride!
I have had the symptoms you described since I bought my TT a couple of months ago. At first it was just a little hesitation before 2K RPM. After a month or so, it grew to what you described. I managed to get it to throw a code which identified the cylinder involved. I replaced the coil on that cylinder and could not believe how smooth and quick she is now. So, when you experience the hesitation - don't do anything to fix it. If pressing on the gas at that point makes it worse, go for it until you get the code (do stay off the rev limited though) or just hold the gas where hesitation is at its worse. Once you get a code, you should be able to zero in on the problem - it worked for me. Check out my DIY for replacing plugs to learn how to get to your coils... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...tion-pictures/

Interesting. I'll do my best to keep repeating the hesitation (although its painful to do so). Hopefully i can get a code. Will the CEL light come on? Then just get that code read?
UPDATE:
So, I took to my local shop (Eurowerks), and here's whats happened.
Got a CEL light finally, (then went off) they ran the codes and it was getting two codes: 1) misfiring on 2nd, 3rd, 4th cyl's and... 2) all misfiring (where not firing at same time i guess, in addition to 2,3,4).
They changed plugs....same problem. Change all coil packs...same problem.
Now they are switching to another set of plugs just in case there was an issue with the first set as precautionary measure.
Next they say would be possible injector spring problem.
Ugh...this is all very concerning since its not the plugs. Worried its going to get very expensive very fast.
Any thoughts from you guys???
thanks

I think you should take it back to whoever did the injectors and tell them to fix it. You should not be paying if the job was not completed properly in the first place. If it is a reputable shop, they need to step up and make it right.
You need a shop that can log your engine operating parameters (ie Durametric) and determine what is CAUSING the missing.... it should be very apparent once they have a few good pulls worth of data.
If they are not doing this, you need a new shop.

Just MHO, it cannot be 'plugs and gaps for modded cars'. Almost any new plug that fits a turbo car will work and not throw immediate CELSs. Especially as the OP has a stock motor (from his description)
It this shop is changing all plugs "just to make sure" I'd be VERY concerned ... really sounds amazing.
I'd be concerned with MAF, fuel pressure, fuel pump....
How precisely did they determine it is 'injector springs'???
Be careful.

These cars have widenands stock you just need a durametric dme cable to read the sensors. 300$ very handy tool
Okay...final update:
Finally got the car back...fixed. The problem was the MAF. The shop has a durametrics, and another type of OEM reader (they use to work at the dealer), but they kept reading misfire. They took the new coils off (since i didnt need them)...so left with new plugs and new MAF ($300). Seems pricey for the MAF, being a little tiny piece of plastic...but I'm sure it would have been twice that at the dealer.
So the fun now...it runs STRONGER than ever! WOT is so much fun now!!!
thanks for the help fellas.
