I drove a stick for 18 maybe 20 years. Ironically, I don't miss it. However, I do still try to stab the clutch pedal 5 out of 10 times when I start a car...

Brad, tips are extremely fast as they don't lose boost during shifts. But as you increase power, up to and over 550 whp or so, the stock tranny will give out. You can rebuild the trans to stock specs. I've also heard there is company that can beef up the tip tranny, but I don't know of any one here in the US that has done it.

What did it take to convert the Tip to RWD? Same process as a manual or completely different? I have a pair of front axle stubs on my desk next to me.

has anyone here updated their rear intake piping (piece going from the plenum to the turbo)? VividRacingTx did this but it was a ton of work. Are there any other solutions?

I always wanted this mod and thought about buying the piece from Todd, but it will require a full engine drop... $$$. If you know how to do it yourself or someone can do it cheap, go for it...

Not sure about the Tip, but it can be done on the 6speed without taking the engine out, just lowering it. You also have to chop out the stock piping never to be reused.
