The TCU reprogramming is for the Tiptronic S transmission so that the shift points better match up with the ECU upgrade and other modifications. Came from Evoms.

2001 tip. I put the FVD paddle wheel on and love it. Have a lot of mods- k24, meth, exhaust, but the trans and rate that boost comes on have always been a weak spot. Considered the switzer trans rebuild, but will but a 997TT first.

yes..there is a member who claimed that if you double tap the accelerator in all the way quickly when the key is turned on and then start the engine, it would be in the quickest shift mode. I beleive he said it only works with the latest model TCU which is in all the 2004 and most the 2003s

I've got a 996tt tip too. Just got it two months back. Here are the specs:
KW3 coilovers, GMG swaybars, EVOMS clubsport intercoolers, EVOMS Billet diverter valves, GT2 PCCBs, full Techart bodykit.
Have just purchased the K16 Billet turbos from Protomotive and am gunning for only 500whp as it is a daily driver and I have not yet decided if I want to send my tranny to IPT to be beefed up...
