I use L, since I do very little city driving. I get the occasional X band bogies from business alarm systems and and occasional K for an alarm. Most law enforcement where I am from uses Ka or K, with occasional laser on the highway. Works well, however, if there is little traffic and the gun is being turned on and off only when you are close by, you will be busted.

I go into the programming mode and turn off X band entirely as there are no police using X in my area. The I run it in the A (most sensitive) mode.

A. A used to annoy me until I got used to where the false alarms occur, and now I (mentally) tune them out. That said, it seems like in the experimenting I've done, it also works very well in l and L modes.

L

Most of my driving is city and it gets annoying on any other setting. If I were driving cross-country, I'd have it on a.

L for me as well. Since I live in the suburbs, falses are not that common. Even in Boston, the V1 does not false that much.

A for me. I don't mind the falses due to alarms and door openers. I would rather be apprised of as much information as possible.

I think Ku might be used in Europe but not sure. You do not want to activate it.
