Video camera for track days?

Im getting my roll/harness bar installed today and I'm getting a video camera mount put on there besides the 5 points and fire extinguisher....yay!

So now I need a video camera....I won't use it for anything else so I dont need to spend a lot of money, but I do want good quality video/sound and something I can edit on my laptop....

What do you guys recommend? Can anything be had for $300 or under?

Camera

Take a look at the GoPro HD camera. Decent price & really easy to use. The whole unit is only 2" x 2". Takes a pretty good video & you can always use it outside the car with a suction cup if you want a different vantage point.

I also recommend the go pro its a good camera for the money. The only downside is there is no lcd screen so you dont know where its angled but the screen is wide so generally you cant go wrong. I ve also heard good things about the Vholdr contour HD 1080P but i ve never used it. The one benefit to the contour is its alot smaller than the go pro.

I'm also considering the Contour but would like to know if it is good.
