Anybody know if By Design is installing the ball-bearing turbos with the methanol injection still, I hear they make great power

Do they sell 'real' ball bearing turbos, I hear some now are retrofitting the original turbos with ball bearings and passing them off as new.

 

I heard that ByDesign doesn't really do porsches anymore? I think all of the people that used to be there and involved with porsches went on to Meridien and Speed Gallery?

 

OK, anybody know if Meridien is still doing Turbo installs on Porsches
I heard they were mainly doing the high end stuff now.

 

wouldn't high end stuff be installing new turbos on 996 TT's? When Matt was around I knew they had done quite a few upgrades on Pcars. I assume they still do.

 

Makes sense, I'll call them and find out their prices and such, I had heard that their high end was F-Car and L-Car stuff, pretty bad I guess when P-car is not high end enough?

By Design NEVER sold ball bearing turbos. Rather, By Design sold k16/k24 hybrids. Speed Gallery sells the same hybrids, along with Zero Clearance turbos (SG is also doing R&D concerning new turbos -- could be interesting).
