5 bar fpr

hey guys am toying with 5 bar fpr whats the best one, how much will the extra pressure help me ? do i need to change fuel pumps if so whats best one.. how ez is it to install?? thanks in advance steve

whats your setup again? i cant remember , and that will determine if you even need one.

if your not running 18gs, i dont think you need one.

if you do need/get one , theres a few out there for cheap , some are crushed and made into 5 bars .i would get a normal 5 bar although the crushed ones work ok too.

you dont need fuel pumps , but you WILL need a new tune for it.

its a bit of a pain in the *** to install but doable.

need more info why do u want a 5bar fpr ?

whats on the car what are you trying to accomplish.

okay, so have you spoke with kevin or your tuner about the 5bar FPR?

if your tuned good now for the power your outputting what springs the upgrade?

if your looking to up the boost make more power i understand, but this would be something your tuner will reccomend because adding more fuel pressure changes what is currently going on. some tuners like 5bar's some would rahter have you get injectors.

what boost are you currently running, and what are you plans with teh 5bar fpr

well i'm not on speaking terms with kevin so thats out, am runnin 1.1 boost was at 1.3 buy droped when i installed my current bv
the car does not feel like ut starving out. just looking for more power

you lost boost by installing a Blow Off Valve rather then a Diverter Valve?
first i would investigate this a bit more you should not loose boost by installing a BOV unless it is not functioning properly, or you have a boost leak (more likely) Does it ever spike to 1.3 and then settle down to 1.1? or just only get to 1.1?


okay, so more power, well if your tuned for 1.3bar there isn't much more safe power to be made on pump gas.. unless you use a methonal injection kit.

ways to increase power from where you are
1) get tuned for race gas and up the boost to say 1.4
2) upgrade to methonal/water injection kit which would allow safe ability to run 1.4 bar on pump gas
3) get larger turbos
4) Plenums like IPD, larger throttle body to match the larger pipes
5)Blow through intake Kit
6) go suspension mods
7) weight reduction to go faster.

definitely do not do a 5 bar without retuning. So if you do not want to spend the money on tuning, don't install it.

always run 100 oct sorry forgot have a giac race gas program, oh ya pss9s

sorry so forgetful only drive the once or twice a week and did the mods years ago
