I bearly beat a EVO 6
I have K24/18g's,5 bar FPR,tune,DV's and 200 cell cats and sport muffler .
The EVO,says the owner,475 WHP and 2900 lbs.weight .
We mad 3 pulls from roll in 2' gear,1-i won by 1/2 car ;2-EVO won by 1/2 car ;3-i won by 1/3 car. I've never seen a so fast EVO.I was realy impressed by that car

The EVO VI was the last 'real' EVO. A light-weight no-frills econocar with amazing power and AWD. Mitsubishi never dominated the WRC since they went 'upscale' to the larger, heavier EVOs that came after.
They can easily be made super-fast, but don't have the luxury-Euro feel of the P-car...

That's like saying the 993 was the last 'real' 911...

Let me have at least ONE vice, Brad... *Chuckle* I wouldn't say no to an EVO VII, VIII, IX or X for sure, but the newer ones just became different cars. Sort of like comparing the first Honda Accords to what are sold today...
So it'd be more like saying that any 911 newer than the early '90s (once they started to conquer the 'death-spiral' lift-off throttle oversteer) isn't a 'real' 911.

there is a lot of mid west and east coast street car evo's running around with 700whp with e85, you've been warned Evo's and STi's can be really nice, but you get into the pcar level of cost(at msrp new) and you are left with a car you can only sell for 25k, that's a huge mistake I made; but you live and you learn(hence my presence on this board, the 996tt engine is **** and as is the 997tt when done right and tuned by the best)
