This one is a tough call, but if you're driving the car for street pimping, spirited driving, I'd go for the 430. It'd be a waste of a car to use the CS for street application.

You're definitely going to get more "cred" in the newer, better 430.

F430 and the CS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well now to some real, day-to-day truths instead of the usual journalistic nonsense!

I have 2 friends who both own Stradales (as well as both owning Enzos), and these guys use 'em each Enzo has 15000 kms + and one of the guys is already on his 2nd CS as the first one had too many kms on it for his liking!

They recently each took delivery of their F430s and their opinions are identical.

To meander around town, go out to dinner, use as a daily driver the F430 is great. The extra torque is useful, the CS-like gearbox is super BUT, and it is a big full-bodied BUT, in terms of sheer driving excitement, liveliness and whatever it is that leaves you breathless, the CS is in a class of its own.

They both comment that the F430 is somewhat "sterile" wher the CS has soul. Both have F430 spiders coming in April and feel that the improvements will be better suited to the spider as it's use is less "intense"

My (ben, lj) take: Only a 430 CS will be a substitute for a 360 CS (and even then it'll be heavier)
