Wow Corey, you weren't kidding about it cracking. I suspect that you've pushed the edge of the envelope a bit too hard on this part (1.8 bar). I wonder if you can't pull it and have it epoxy coated which would seal up your crack and serve as a major re-inforcement for the part.

The thing that urks me about this problem is why would a cast piece split before a composite piece? I have ran right at about 2.0bar before on the streets and mine is still in one piece (I hope LOL). Only way I can tell is no boost issues and the car is still making power.

Kinda makes me wonder if the composite is actually stronger?

I think i would have been better off layering Carbon filber over it.
Oh well the damage is Done.

I kid on mine, at least at the moment. After hearing your story I may have Boost Logic look into having one done. I know they have made quite a few on their Supra's. My motor comes out this week. Have been a little quiet lately due to a tank of bad gas that wouldn't leave! I finally get it all situated and I destroy 3rd gear... Power shifting was not the smartest thing to be doing... I'm going to order parts soon enough! As well as multiple transmissions pieces... Ugh... Though I may have a surprise coming for the car as well, but I'm still crunching numbers on everything. I'll let the world know soon as everything is final!

I hope it all comes together for you soon enough and you really make some noise!

997 gt2 intake is aluminum, but ive been told it chokes you uptop on 800+ builds as it uses smaller runners then the 997/996 but still outflows the 996

ahh the old magnus intakes i had some made back in the day from another guy with cnc velocity stacks inside the plenum
