2003 X50 price check
2003 X50 price check
Hi Guys,
I'm looking to pick up an X50 and would like your thoughts on the deal.
2003 Porsche 911 Turbo X50
MSRP $144k
Tiptronic
27k miles
CPO'd for 2 more years
Black/Black
Asking $54-55k. What do you think? Is it worth it? I'm hesitating on the fact that it's a Tiptronic rather than 6MT, but it clearly is in good shape, and I like the fact that it's warrantied for 2 more years. It's priced better than anything else I can find at the moment too.

there is an '03 X-50 here in the bay area for sale in the low 40s. It's a tip as well. Tips don't get the money that a 5speed will. That one you are looking at is a little high. Be patient, one will come up in your price range or just wait on that one you are looking at. It isn't going anywhere at that price.
I don't think its that bad of a price, especialy with the warranty. For what its worth, about 6 months ago I got a 02 black/black with 29k miles (non-X50) for $49.5k with a 2.2 year warranty. Car itself was $47.5k without the warranty. Mine is a tip, and I LOVE the tip. I don't necessarily agree that Tips should fetch lower prices than a manual b/c they are harder to find, at least when I was looking for a clean low miles one.

But is it CPO-ed? At that price I would think not. If there is something major wrong with the engine, you will be kicking yourself for not buying one for more with a warranty. Personaly I would not buy one without a warranty. I have now bought 4 Porsches all with a warranty.
If you want to low priced turbo, check this one out:

If I was still looking, I'd at least have to consider it.

It's a Ford dealership, I'm sure they took it on trade for a Taurus and know nothing about it.

The VIN corresponds with the turbo. If it's price you want and the mileage doesn't concern you, it might be worth checking out.
