What's the next thing to do to gain another 100 HP? New turbos to replace the K24s I imagine and some more fuel.

Suggestions? I've reached out to my tuner, but wanted to see what the forum has to say.

Probably at least K24/18gs, injectors, exhaust, DV's, clutch, and a really good tune. May need a little more than that, but should get you close.

I'd say keep your K24s and send them in to Blouch for a 18g upgrade. You'll need some supporting mods to maximize your performance. You could also go for the 20g but you'll need a lot more supporting mods to make that work well. I had the K24/18g and was running right around 650 crank with a port/polish and ceramic coating. Talk to Markski. He's extremely knowledgable about these. I think the 18g is the best bang for your buck. It won't run you much green compared to other setups especially since you already have the K24s.

I had K24,DV's,Fabspeed with 100 cats and a generic tune.Talked to Markski and gave me 100 WHP converting to K24/18g's, 5 BAR FPR with a PROTO tune. The car runs incredible,i couldn't belive how much power she gained so ease and NOT expensive.

What's on the car right now?

Here are my suggestions

Custom X-Pipe Exhaust (Least Backpressure i.e. Protomotive, 911tuning etc.)
$2500-$3500

K24/18G Upgrade
$1195

5bar Fuel Pressure Regulator
~$135

Re-Tune
$999-$1500

Billet Diverter Valves
~$280

BMC Drop In Air Filter
~$150

You will easily be able to hit 650crank with this. This is an excellent foundation to begin with in case you would like to hit 600whp in the future or more.

Id recommend Injectors rather then 5bar and intercoolers also

try asking your tuner instead of reaching out to him, if hes outa town your arm will reach him try e mail....sorry i just hate that term forgive me please.i'm an old guy that thinks tuners are good but just like everyone else in this world they should want your business you should not have to beg them to tune your car (reach out) i feel better now!!!!
antway the biggest difference for my car was turbos and a tune, the next was pipeing to the turbos and 100 oct fuel. i do have kevins k16/24 turbos, this is my second set (1st failed) they are very nice just don't be in a hurry for delivery or believe any delivery date you are given.... get a quote from marski or alex at sharkwerks good luck and quite reaching out ask em !!!!! sorry again steve

Since you have k24 go to Markski or EPL and get 18g, injectors and tune. If you want more go piping and IC. If you are comfortable with Meth and want to make big power on the cheap talk to EPL about 18g on Meth

OS Inspector, on that setup, Injectors aren't really required on low boost. I spoke to Markski extensively about this. Especially since our friend here does not want to spend alot of money.

The labor on the injectors is quite extensive.

Intercoolers are definitely a huge bonus and an excellent power adder you are absolutely right but again, cost must be an issue with him so I am going with the cheapest possible setup in my humble opinion

he is right they are not required .... as i ran a 5 bar for a long time with no issues , but injectors help with piece of mind. and i would do it .

Yup, me too but if you ever run race gas with your 18g do not boost over 1.35 bar with a 5 bar and stock injectors. This is straight from Markski and Todd K. This is for your engines safety. Also, you'll need a clutch eventually so figure that into your budget.

does it work? yes how much safety factor is left (IE injector duty cycle to dump fuel in to save motor at this point. the best route is injectors it may be more expensive but how expensive is a new motor?

theres some pictures of a motor tuned by one of the big guys that had a 5bar fpr and failed and the only thing saveable in the motor was one cylinder head 3 pistons and the cylinder sleeves cam chain broke wadded up in the case broke the case vavles hit pistons etc. etc.

he only made it 2500miles after 18g, tune and 5bar fpr.

5bar fpr is what i have on my car it works we all know this but, there are better ways to skin this cat.

Seems a little bit contradicting OS Inspector. You are running on your own car yet do not recommend to others.

Like I said, I am talking low boost. He will not be damaging his car with this setup on low boost. Any idiot who wants easy power can jack up his boost, yet we all know that's incredibly foolish.

That being said, I understand why you are being cautious. There are some members on this forum that are quite new to all this especially our friend here. You do not want to give bad advice and do not want to see people damage their engines. I commend you on that

Low Boost = No Problem

my turbos are smaller then 18g's meaning less fuel requirements, so in theory it should be safer then an 18g/5bar setup at same boost

my Car is on its second rebuild.

first one detonated till it bent a rod, now it spit the head gasket out cause it has upgraded rods(rods were stronger then gasket) at 1.2 bar and a better tune(less timing)/more fuel would of prevented it.

just trying to educate people that a 5bar works but if you push that line there are expensive consequences.
