X50 @ ~540 P, want 650 - how to get there without ton's of green?
To SuperCollider: Remember my friend. LOW BOOST
these are not my words but check out this info:
The flow from the fuel pump drops off at 5000 RPM's with a 5bar. This means that the injectors go into a fury/high duty cycle to cover the target AFR.
If your stock K24's are running the injectors at 95% duty cycle, at 1.1 to 1.2 bars >>>> how can you think that K24/18G have anything left? 1bar or 1.1bar at 105% duty cycle??????
Doesn't make sense...
Both failures are K24/18G 5 bar systems.

500$ injectors and some labor is sure cheaper then 20-30k and not driving your car for a year (me)

I purchased a 2002 turbo with K16's and a Giac flash. Last night I saw 1.1 bar on stock turbos. I do not know if the car has stock injectors, or upgrades such as injectors or a 5 bar kit. Am I fine with the stock injectors?

GSXR1074, love the screename. I've got a GSXR too but it's not stroked like yours is. It sounds like you may have a flash since you're seeing 1.1 bar. Even if you do have a flash, you should be fine with stock K16s a stock fpr and injectors.

That 2nd link was my car. Every car is different, the miles, "type" of miles put on the car etc... but blown motors aren't cheap to repair, so given the money you are looking at right now to upgrade to 18G with supporting mods, the injectors are a no brainer imo. $500 to $700 for injectors. If you decide to skip the injectors, you will be limited to running lower boost. With injectors and some race gas, difference will be night & day and will be so much more worth it. btw, even with injectors, I would only run higher boost on race gas. just my opinion.
+1 Relatively cheap and safe...
It goes something like this,
Stock K24's to 18g's
5 bar FPR
BMC filter
ECU tune ( he does protomotive )
Exhaust ( his 3" or something like it )
New DVs
Good luck.
