Cup holder prototype; comments?

Ok,

I morphed a product from a hobby and came up with this prototype for a cup holder that fits my 996TT and should a lot of other P-cars as well. It is pretty simple, seems to be solid and best of all removes in seconds with the push of a button leaving only the black plastic 1"x.75"mount that is .5" deep. Basically comprised of an aluminum ring that has the mounting piece that attaches to the base. Downside is that the base is screwed to the tunnel with one small screw.

Comments? If there is a positive reaction I will probably make more; would sell for $50 shipped in U.S.

Thanks,

Scott

That last picture shows the mark that a previous cupholder made on the panel.

Figure out a way to clamp it without the screw. Nobody wants to screw up their interior of their 80k car, sorry for the pun. If you do that and sell them for 29.95 you could offer them to a broader market. jmo
btw the stock late 996 cup holders are pretty damn good if you ask me. Strangely, in my03 you had to order those for a german (non export row)sold car, purely an american biased option, just like the 'pse'.
EDIT: I just saw the previous link, with that on the market, why should one buy yours for twice the price, then drill a hole?
Anyway, good thought, GO ROYALS! (KC born and raised)

Yep, top of the nav screen bad place for a c/h. And the coffee spills until half gone with a stiff suspension.
Thanks for the tip Kevin, just ordered one!
