Right. When the ECU sees anything outside of its control window, it turns off PSM and ABS so that it doesn't misunderstand a situation and make it worse. That is why so many different faults can trigger this condition.

The CEL is a different story. Usually it's the MAF, but could also be coil packs, plugs, O2 sensors, ... You'll be a lot closer to the solution when you have the codes read. Otherwise, we're just guessing.

BrianAtlanta is infamous around these parts
I had a customer receiving the PSM/ABS error due to a bad alignment. Did you receive the error while driving or upon startup? I didn't see if you mentioned that.

You wouldn't want to take a long trip or drive the car hard, but at this point it would be absolutely wonderful for your car to drive it to AutoZone and get the codes read. They do it for free.

The code #115 came up.. I was told it a mass sensor..? Mechanic said the maf code was not being thrown... He told me about $500.00 to replace the part.. Sound right?

Knew it! $500 seems way high. If you'd like I can ship you the sensor and you can swap it out yourself. It'll be cheaper. Or you get the sensor and have your mechanic put it in. Very simple, just two screws and a plug.

Maf sensor and mass sensor are the same thing. MAF stands for Mass Air Flow Sensor/Meter.

Here is a picture

go get yourself some electronics cleaner spray from radio shack and pull the maf out and spray the sensor and connectors really well. Let it dry for about 30 minutes in dry climate or an hour. Then reinstall and you might be ok without spending any money. The MAF may just be fauled a little.
