Trying to find some documentation on the color Besalt black on a 996 Turbo. Someone stated that it's Macadamia, but I don't think that color was available on 996's. It kinda resembles the newer Macadamia brown, but not as light. Does Besalt black have a brownish tint?

Basalt Black looks like black/dark grey with golden flecks in it. Really nice...

Pretty familiar with Seal Grey (see avatar), so I wouldn't mistake it for being very dark.

I guess the Basalt Black I saw didn't appear too "brownish". I suppose it may have been the time of day/lighting when I saw it.

Here is some high-res representation for you.

In my opinion Porsche's paint has different hues under different lighting conditions. In the sun if the paint is Metallic you will see a hint of another color. Sometimes it just depends on what's around you. Look at the video, the reflection of the trees around the car makes the car's hood look very brown.
