Can PSM Parameters Be Changed By PS2?

Ben said that the PSM parameters (specifically slip angle) could be changed by a PS2 tester. Can anyone confirm this?

You can ask Loren over on http://www.renntech.org/

He's great about his answers and the speed with which he gets them to you.

Loren answered your question:

I thought the steering angel sensor was related to the slip angle? This is why I thought the recalibrating of the steering angle sensor changes the system's perception of your slip angle. If I'm not mistaken, I got this from RC at Rennteam which is why I had it done to my car after putting on spacers and larger rear tires.

This is exactly what I was told by Speed Gallery. They are going to test and adjust my steering angle sensor in an attempt to remedy my premature PSM engagement.

I didn't think you could do it.

This is pretty tricky to evaluate as to what effect "mis calibrating" the steering angle will have on PSM. It is an interesting idea, but I don't know how you would distort the steering angle signal to induce less PSM intrusion. I will think about it.
