How many AH is std turbo battery?

I noticed the battery in my GT2 is only a 220 AH and much smaller than the 380AH in my GT3. Whats the std size for the turbo is it the same as the GT2? thanks carl

I tried to find out myself. Moll won't answer my question, and I know I'm not the only one to ask and get ignored.

Look on the top of the battery and the AH (amp hours) is printed on the battery above the positive termanal. carl

The Moll I took out of my car last month (lasted 2+ years) has an 80 Amp Hours rating, but also has a notation of 380 A. I am guessing that is the cold cranking amps rating, which at 380 is pretty pathetic.

Which is when you replace it you do not use a Porsche battery.

A size 47 or 48 battery will fit the stock tray. The official sizes are 90, 91 and 92. The 47 and 48 are the same length and width but a 1/2" taller than the 90,91. The 47/48's are easier to find. Costco sells the 47 for $48 with a 3 yr full replacement warranty, 100 month prorated.

Porsche uses 3 different batteries. 80 Ah, 70, 60, with 80 being the largest and heaviest. Per the parts list 80 for the turbo, 70 for the GT2, and 60 for the GT3. I think PCM is standard on the tubo and n/a on the GT3, so the GT3 can get away with a smaller capacity battery.

I just bought a Duralast 48DL from Autozone and installed it in my turbo. It has 700Ah cold and 850Ah warm I do believe.

The install went smoothly as the thread for the 48 size is dead-on. The car now turns over better than ever.

Good purchase.

That's what I bought too and it's much better than the Moll.

Also, I think I gained about 15 hp too!

You can only compliment the "good purchase" because you pointed me in the right direction.

In all honesty, thank you for your help.
