Also, in re-reading this thread; why can't you use them in the primary 02s?
The primary 02's are for the dme to read what the motor is doing and adjust trims. Delaying those messages can be harmful.

hello again,

i had the o2 extensions put on the rear sensors and i had the ECU flashed with EVOMs. literally as soon as i pulled out of the shop, the CEL came back on! it was late last night when i picked the car up so i didnt bother going right back but i will email them today and probably bring it back tomorrow. Any thoughts on this? do you think they will need to keep adjusting the flash? or do you think the CEL wasnt fixed at all and i should start looking into some new cats. and if so, anyone know where i can buy just the cats to the older fabspeed 996 exhaust system?
thank you!
~Mike

Also- i just want to point out that the EVOMs flash was noticeable to me right away.. and this is coming from someone with no experience with "tuned" cars... i could really feel the added power on my drive home

Have you scanned the car? Maybe the CEL is unrelated to the o2's this time

Yup, definetly needs to be scanned, i could be anything....without knowing the codes, we play the guessing game.

Any OBDII scanner will do the trick.

Durametric. And you could have gotten that for free if you did a Softronic or switzer tune.

update: i got gas today and when i started the car back up, the CEL was gone... problem solved!... at least for now. Ive gotten multiple CELs on Mercedes from the gas cap not being on properly... i guess the O2 sensor extensions and ECU flash did the trick. thanks to everyone for the advice.

The EVOMs is awesome, i would definitely recommend it to those looking for performance upgrades im very happy with it.

im hoping the light stays off this time, but if it comes back.. new cats? lol

No, if the CEL comes back you scan the codes with the Durametric you bought, post them up here.

You DID buy one, right?

What gains do you get from adding this exhaust? Do you have any videos or sound clips of the exhaust

Markski's exhaust is a work of art and sounds amazing! Just do a search and you will find plenty on this forum.
