Lotus Elise coming to America

Road and Track also has an article on the Lotus Elise coming to the states in spring of 2004. Weight is 1975 lbs with a 190 hp inline 4. 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds, quarter mile in 12 seconds. One of the best handling cars in the world!

Sounds awesome, now if I can upgrade to 400 hp I think I will buy one!!

A certain tuner here in CA has a smog legal turbo system ready for the car producing 360hp and 290 ft/lbs. It will be the ultimate canyon burner and a great ego bruiser!

The Elise is excellent value for the money....great handling, sub 5 second 0-60 doesn't even begin to tell the story...

Don't believe me ? Watch an Elise keep up with an F40 on the track....reels him in on the twisties !

http://www.lombardydrive.com/scratch/

As an added bonus, this site also has the mpeg of Andy Wallace taking the McLaren F1 to 241 mph...

enjoy !

If you want to take a lap of Grattan Raceway where I was this
past weekend, download the wreck of the Corvette on the site above. Woops!!

Anyone know how many and how much? I would love to have one as a fun track car... No matter what we end up doing to ze 996TT, it's just to darn heavy for regular track abuse..

last time i talked to dealer about a month ago, they told me as long as u put ur name down u will get one at msrp, which is around 40k. i was also told that the car has almost no option, color is also first come first serve.

put ur name down & see how things goes.
