Fabspeed GT2 exhaust. Just got my new to me 2003 996 tt X-50 on Sunday

I have only put 150 miles on it since and the first thing I noticed was how loud the Fabspeed exhaust is between roughly 2K-3K rmp which just so happens to be the exact range that I seem to be driving the car is the most.

I'm not sure that I actually like how loud the sound is and I was wondering how much louder this exhaust is vs. stock and other aftermarket exhausts?

I already told the wife that she is going to hate it (she has of yet not even sat in the car let alone gone for a drive ) and I'm not sure if I want to go through that sort of brain damage everytime we ride in the car together, so I may be considering getting a stock exhaust put back on the car and/or an aftermarket exhaust that is quieter.

Any suggestions or input is apprecaited as I'm obviously new to the car. Thanks.

It is much louder. I would leave it be for a few thousand miles, and see if you like it. When I first got my car, I hated the exhaust for the same reason, but now a few years later, I kind of like it.

I've had four people in the car and all of them have said almost immediately, Wow this is loud. Now my 16 year old son loved it and the three females not so much................

Not a big surprise I guess, but I'm not sold on it yet either.

We have a great option for a quiet performance exhaust...Let me know if I can help. It's very sporty sounding on the outside and extremely comfortable inside the car. Perfect for a daily driver car / wife, etc. - really nice engineered tuned sport sound without the headache factor...
And we have a 6speed member special price. PM for details.

2.5 quiet X-cellerator X-flow system...video link below.
