Misha 997 GTM Front Conversion on Basalt Black Switzer P800
GOT BORED WITH IPHONE CAM TODAY LOL (3/25/11)
Here are progress photos thus far. Almost done. Car is a 2002 Basalt black Switzer Performance P800 car. Just to put this info out there so anyone who was searching for it like me. You have to repin the headlight plug. bottom right 2 wires are turn signal and parking light, at bottom left you need to move the white wire next to brown there is a space between them, that is for high beams. This conversion is not simple. Took 120 hours of labor to do it right. Reason i did it is some fairly sized road kill took out my old bumper and undertray. I wanted to do it anyways so i figured now would be the time. If anyone is interested my stock hood, fenders, 1 of a kind blacked out headlights, fenders, and washer fluid tank let me know!
Also another thing to add to make this easier for the next guy that wants to do it.
PARTS NEEDED:
-997 Headlight trays
-997 Headlights
-997 TURBO Turn signals (these were hard to find at right price but www.porscheoemparts.com had best price i could find)
-997 Corner marker lights
-997 Gas lid
-997 Hood hinges
-997 Washer fluid tank
-997 HID Ballasts (996 ones are twice the size)
-997 Hood shocks
-3-wire Wire harness's so you can splice and wire in turn signals the right way
-997 Gas door lever
-A **** ton of Fabbing lol
Car before i hit road kill lol
Begining of October. Initial Trimming and fitment alot of labor here
Mid October After Trimming getting headlights and everything lined up
End of October Primer
Monday 11/1/10 Pre paint prep
Last Thursday 11/4/10
Wednesday 11/10/10
Earlier this Evening, wrapping up tomorrow
Had to move hood hinges back a few inches
Had to relocate tow hook hole because the bumper is for the 997
Overall impressed with the body shop. They got all the gaps down and spacing even. hood closes perfectly.
Guy in photo is who did all of the fabbing, he is pro he did amazing work on my Evos and BMW

on photo 7th up from the bottom. Fender kinda sticks out.... Apparently its because i need the side skirts Misha has but they only work if i do the rear 997 conversion too. From what i hear that is some serious labor lol

Apart from the 120 hours you already have in to it? Wow. Looks like it's going to be nice. Are you planning on molding the existing skirts to make them look right?

As for fenders, gonna get TA ones and see what we can do with it. Im at the shop now finishing up. Post pics in a bit

Let me tell you its expensive either way you look at it. Wicked offers oem 997 fenders with some fender rail conversion, thats like $4900. Misha fenders are only 1100. But if Wicked's fit right up it would of cost me the same either way. So much in fabbing, labor, n such.. Final photos posted up on first post.
