hello,

i have the same problem on 2003 996 gt2.. it began to make noise from front.. it ''seems'' from inside the tank. i have replaced the pump (the old one seemed perfect) with the new one without the U hose.
it continues to make bzzzz noise.
anyone can resolve the problem? i know that inside the tank there is a lateral smaller pump for the bottom of the tank.. can it make noise?

sorry for my bad english.

gt2 fuel pump is different from tt one. similar in shape but different also in porsche codes. gt2 has 90 liters tank so also the tank gauge is different.

do you need a description of how to replace the fuel pump? point by point?

so do you still have the buzz noise? also after the replacment of fuel pump?

Ok Gokuh , thank's for your reply I know that TT don't have the same fuel tank's than GT2 model . My bone was a 996 TT but with GT2 tank 89 liters (and also without front wheel drive) What I mean with "different" is that normally on the top of GT2 tank gauge you don't have the same pipes and electrical wire than the TT ..............And it was exactly what I want to know !!!!!! what is the difference and where are the pipe and electrical wire ????? .A friend of me had also changing is complete fuel pump and the buzz is alway here !!!!! so I'm thincking that maybe we can have some trouble on the carbon canister with valves witch are electrical and may be do some bzzzzz .I don't know .... Many thank's SAM , I will try it but could you explain why or how the fuel filter could introduce some noize on the tank My idea : - perhaps because the filter was a little bit full of and pump need more power to push the fuel at the good pressure ???? , otherwise I 'd buy the valve inside the pressure nut at the exit of filter witch is leaking a little bit on mine and may be the same for the fuel pump whom need more power to push fuel at the good pressure ???? In all case please SAM give me you'r opinion ....many thank's Best regard's Marc
