Has any of the Tuners did any comparisons between turbos to see if there any differences?

 

if they did they havent shown us yet.

 

Large investment for no return. look at the maps and see what turbo suits your needs. Think of it this way 30K on some turbos, install, fab, tuning and dyno. Oh and please make sure all the ambient conditions are the same or else .....

 

I know Markski went to an HTA wheel in his GT35s. I don't think he was that impressed but you should ask him what he thinks about it.

 

I do believe Markski tried it and maybe has some data.

I have/ had both on my car....
spool up diff only 100 rpm...
HTA are about $500 more per turbo...
at 30 psi it will make a small difference... will you tell... at that level? probably not....
If you already have non HTA dont waste the money... if you dont have them.. get them....
If you, like Rob, have X amount of mile son them it only makes sense to them upgraded... he dose not have to by new turbos.... they do the upgrade... at the same time they can do an inspection to see if the turbos are in good health.... if not overhaul them....
I went even one step further... I did the V band housings on the htas so I did 3 versions.... dynos possibly next week...

Thanks for the insight and as always you are a wealth of knowledge! Yes, These are the same turbos you sold to me three years ago and I probably have 20,000 miles on them so I will probably take them off late December or early January.
