you could upgrade your pads, you dont need new brakes unless your having trouble with your current set.

you can upgrade to the gt3 6 piston calipers, or upto any of the better setups PF, Stop tech, Brembo but all of these systems that are better then stock are not cheap.

Absolutely not, brake pads/fluid will work, but I have 4pot Stoptech ST40 caliper on the front of my '00 S4, track only car, and I love them. $1500 is a great price. I have had mine for 8 years and 1000's of track miles and they are still awesome!

sure they are a great caliper on that car but are they better then OEM on this car, what data do we have larger piston diameter?

i will know the part # 2moro .. my brakes are fine, just though that was a good deal and we all know how we like good deals on things we will most likely do anyways!. but if i can get away with just upgraded pads, already changed the fluid, i much rather save that $ for some other mod>> i will look up the part 2moro online.. thanks

If you're not doing heavy track time I say the stock calipers are fine. Get your self a good brake pad, braided stainless steel lines, brake fluid flush with some Motul RBF 600 and depending on the condition of your current rotors maybe a new or upgraded set.

I have a fiend who tracks his TT, Stock calipers, upgraded brake lines, upgraded pads and stock rotors. No problems, no fade.

Stocks fine I'm sure, but my brembos are awesome! Highly recommend them, your confidence will change even on the street when you know you have some bad *** brakes backing you up

Stock calipers are brembos. Obviously they make bigger kits too, but unless you go to a 6 pot your not going to get much. I recommend a pad change

I think the best bet is 997T brakes. They bolt right on (need longer 997 bolts), come with bigger discs and 6 pot calipers. Pads are readily available and they fit under the stock 18s.

Look around for a takeoff set.. they come around as the 997 guys go to even bigger brakes.

I track my car 15-20 days a year and drive it aggressively on the street daily 9 months out of each year. I good set of pagid yellows on the front with blacks on the rear will give you incredible stopping power on the track with minimal braking effort. You litteraly break with your toes, not your feet. I still run the stock rotors and flush the fluid after each track event. No doubt you can spend more $ on different brakes, but with the right pads and fluid changes, the stock brakes allow you to spend the $ elsewhere.

It really depends on how you are using your brakes......bigger is better......right?
