Intercooler dimensions

what are the factory IC dimensions LxWxH and inlet outlet piping. also what is the thickest W that will fit in stock position. As you increase intercooler dimensions what sort of modifications must be done to the bracketry, inlet ducting, etc?

reason i ask is that i just got my 3 inch y pipe in today (thx Nola). seems logical that i would like to keep a relatively constant diameter throughout as you can only flow based on your smallest diameter encountered (flow = pressure x resistance and resistance is largely made up of diameter and viscosity). what are my options here. i dont mind making the hole bigger in fender (iv got a dremel tool).
