Anyone have a DIY for Secondary Air Injection System CHANGEOVER valve replacement?

I've had the annoying Secondary Air Injection System CEL on for a while now. I've checked all the vacuum lines and replaced all of the other valves, so this is the only one left in the system.

Dealer wants 6hrs labor (@ $125) to replace it because it's somewhat deep in the engine bay, and I'm thinking about knocking it out myself since the car is put up for the winter anyway.

I'm not looking to troubleshoot the problem as I've done everything else in the system, and I have the Air System diagram already - I need to know how to get to the damn valve and replace it.

Thanks in advance for help!!

TK

TK! This may help:

Not sure if you have to remove the pump, that those instructions will walk through that. I have watched it done (after fiddling with it myself). Def not a fun job. My local mechanic made it look like child's play!

If you get that deep, you may want to "T" off a line on the FPR for a EBC or if you plan on putting in a 5bar FPR!

Thx Chad - looks like this will get the Air Pump out, but I need to dig deeper to get to the valve. I'm hearing a plenum may have to come out, so I want to make sure I know what I'm doing before i take half the car appart :-)

I'm NOT looking forward to this....

GIve me a call when you get a minute, want to chat to you about track alignement.

My car is going in the shop Tuesday because of this same CEL. I'll be watching your progress in case my tech doesn't clear it the first time. He told me he will be smoke testing the system first to try and pinpoint the problem. I have seen others say that servicing the DV's clear the light. Anyone else care to chime in?
