996TT shows only Type 1 and 2.

You are correct that the principal concern with Type 2 over revs is how long ago they occurred. Just because you collect a Type2 does NOT necessarily mean it was "abuse". It means tat either the engine was reved over the limit or there was some spurious noise tripping an over rev.

Do keep in mind that if the redline is raised, the DME still logs reves over 7000 as an "over rev". I am under the impression that an engine with a raised limit can be run without ever HITTING the limit and STILL collect over-revs.

It has also been reported that if you bounce into the rev limiter the engine may momentarily go over the type 1 limit. I wonder if with a raised limiter of 7200, if a bounce onto the limit might count type 1 AND type 2s....

It seems like these revs were 1300 miles ago- which is not much. HOWEVER you did all the tests that are recommended to investigate over-revs. Those look fine.
