Project Stage II 996 TT X50 - Back to Basics
#16
Ok dyno and mods complete, this car kicked some major but for already having the K24 turbos. It gained about 70awhp and 70ft/lbs of torque over our baseline. Again the mods are a Stage II which includes: Softroinc ECU Flash, Agency Power Exhaust, Agency Power Headers, IK22 Spark Plugs, K&N Filter, Agency Power Diverter Valves with FHose.

Dan, is your exhaust for this stage 100 or 200cell cats ?
Please do post if you manage to get a 60-130 run. My car is at exactly the same level of mods as this one, except for the fact that I'm using stock plugs (to be upgraded next service), hence the interest.

Excellent and extremely informative write-up. Nicely done and a pleasure to read the process well explained.
I am confused because in the intial post it was an X50 but the follow-up posts say Turbo S....unless I missed something in which case I apologize.
Also I have been speaking with some tuners here and they say the 100 cell cats won't pass CARB...thoughts????
Nice job all around

I loosely used the terms X50 and Turbo S. The car is a Turbo S, but they both run K24 turbos and the GT2 intercoolers. Emissions are different state to state. Being in CA you obviously get the worst. I have had customers in CA with our Softronic flash and the Agency Power exhaust, all they had to do is flash the car back to the original file we provide and they passed with the exhaust.

I failed with an Agency Power 100 cell cat exhaust in CA. The car was stock otherwise (no flash at the time). The exhaust had about 7k miles on it and when I removed it the cats were starting to rattle inside. I had the car checked out by two shops and both indicated it was in top shape. Put on a stock exhaust and passed with flying colors. My experience for what its worth.
