Chad,

They had to replace a cracked header. It was probably caused when the car had the blowout at 140 mph. We are guessing that it bottomed out on the track and cracked the header. Anyhow everything should be set to do the dyno runs on Monday and Tuesday!

buddy,

the cracked header could have been caused by the blowout, but it also could have been all the heat generated by the high boost coupled with the weight of the wastegate which can cause stress and cracking.

i know from personal experience about the latter. the solution is to build a proper bracket to support the weight of the wastegate.

You can say that again!

We should start our own Porsche R&D corporation so we can at least write all this stuff off.

LOL that and a more caring/less insane owner would help too. That would be a "free" upgrade too

Find out if they are using "SAE J1349" or "Standard Corrected" for the dyno numbers?
