Just loaded up and kissed goodbye the RED BEAST. It is heading to Garrett at GIAC for final tuning. It is going to be a hard 2 weeks living without it! But when that truck comes back with my RED BEAST on it, YEEHHAAWW! What a ride it will be! 700 + ponies all on their heels ready to kick it up!

It has only been gone 5 minutes and I am already having withdrawals, I have to find something to drive in the meantime! YIKES!

Better yet, buy the Beast a garage buddy... like a CGT or an F-car!

Racer,

Now you are talking. Okay I will just buy a Carrera GT thanks! Woops I forgot I don't have $430,000.00 to buy one. Darn it I guess I will have to rob a bank.

Thanks guys!

this man does have a great point, plenty of great drives out here!!

I say you come out here for a weekend and atleast hit up some of the roads on the way up the coast, take the 5 to the 58 over to the 101 and up the 1 for the rest of the trip to san fran. Drop the car off, put it on a truck ship it home and fly back. It'll be worth it

buddy,

I wouldn't get too excited about seeing it, unless you are going to miss the USA 996tt Top Gun Shootout. Everything is being confirmed now. It looks like it will occur between the dates of November 11 and November 14.

That is really not a bad idea, I could fly out and hang with you Surfer dudes, drive the car and then ship it back home. Of course as Chad said if the Top Gun Shootout occurs it may be in Cali for a while!! Either way it looks like I will be coming to sunny southern California!

racer63,

For comparison purposes, there will be one or maybe two professional drivers performing the tests. Since we have to rent the track for the day, I believe the owners will have a chance to run their cars themselves after the competition is over.

Rats!

But, that is the right way to do it. Eliminate one of the extraneous variables that might influence the outcome.

racer63,

If you could post a bond or cash (just in case any damage occured) I could arrange a ride.

That's awfully tempting...

Keep me posted on the dates. I'm supposed to be racing locally on the 14th and 15th. But, things could change...

Chad,

I was wondering if this shootout will be performed on street tires or racing slicks?? Who will provide the tires or do we provide our own?? Probably everyone should be running the same thing to take that variable out of the equation as well.

buddy,

I am hoping to have all the details real soon. There still are some loose ends. I am hoping to have Michelin provide the tires. This is a real possibility once Colman verifies with them he is doing an article.
