I used to use BFG dr but was still burning them in 4th @ 28 psi of boost. Now I use the M/T drag ET's but the car does not like the turns at all, They still haze in the rear view in 4th though. bfg's 275/35/18 m/t 305/35/18. Not sure if this helps you but the car on ps2's is down right deadly. even at pump gas boost levels. 305 ps2's race gas will spin in 5 with ease. Oh I am rear wheel only with a lsd.

At 900-1000 HP and similar torque (800-900 rwhp), I ran Nitto DRs, BFG DRs, MT DRs, Michelin PSCs and Nitto NT01's. All 18".

On my RWD 996TT (no LSD) they all hooked in 2nd gear up with the proper tire pressure (except the PSCs had to be very HOT). Overall, the Nittos were the most well-rounded DRs, as they hook very well under a rear-weight bias car and handle pretty well also. On my GT2, I can actually hook on a fairly warm day on 315/25/19 'street tires' (Continental ContiSport 3's), due to the LSD. If I need to hook from a dig, I use the MT DRs.

Both cars are 4-second 60-130 cars.

The type of wheel doesn't matter much. You just need to be bale to run a DR or an R-compound. 18" wheels will give you most options, but there are some R-Compund options in 19" as well.
