I doubt I have many fans in the neighborhood since I put on straight pipes!!

Yeah, I used to do mine after 9pm as the highway where I went was empty at that time, and I can get 4 or 5 runs in in 7 or 8 minutes and be off the highway heading home. Now that I have moved, no real good spots anymore, but still looking. Might have to make the hour+ drive just for some testing!!!

Hey just ran one run, but had to back off a bit during it. 1.45 bar on pump. I think she has a lot more left in her. But 5.9 is not too bad.

Need to remember to put my SD card in next time - wasn't planning the run.

Another 5s Porsche. Great run, especially on pump! Dump in some ms109 let see what she can really do.

I have some Sun 104 Octane in the shed so I will try some of that.

Part of the difference is that if you remember I said I had a problem with my TCU. I ended up having to get a new one, which is the 04 ending part version. My previous TCU was 02 and this one only had 5 shift patterns. The new one has 250 shift patterns. So we installed that and then sent it to MKB to have the tq lifted from 700nm to 1300nm.

BTW that was on a full tank of fuel with just me in. Road was a small decline. Just a shame about the SD card, but as I said I was not planning it.

I was running at 80% on the EBC with only 5% gain and 0 set boost as well.

What is the fastest 996 Turbo Tip 60-130?

Will take her out one evening shortly. I think she has a 5.5 in her if I am not disturbed during the run.

Ken

p.s. yes I did have clothes on!!!

To my knowledge, the fastest 996TT Tip is Todd (Blackhorse turbo) at 6.33s. The fastest the tip is a 997 TT at 4.97s.

Okay well mine will be the fastest then but for the moment it is still the 6.66 that was verified by Scott some time ago.

Better get my SD card in the car and send the files then.

Same place I did my 6.66. Nice quiet testing ground

I alway like to use the same as that way I have a comparison. AT were the same as well.
Will try and get a run down in the next week for validation by Scott.

BTW, going to the airfield in a couple of weeks. Mate is just about to take delivery of Stage 6 RS tuning 997 GT2. That should be interesting.

After that I am afraid the whole lot is coming off the car. But don't cry.........

Having new 3.6 build done with uprated rods, studs etc. Then having a very special kit put on the car. It is to coincide with something that I am involved with that will be happenning shortly and will be public knowledge soon.

Looking for sub 20 sec car to 300kph.

Yes I will be keeping her Tiptronic.

MKB box is now rated to 1000hp + 1300nm tq. With the new TCU I am happy. MKB has just produced a black AMG running 1012hp and 1300nm tq with the same box basically. It ran 21 seconds.

Mine should be a lot quicker than that.

I wanted to do the rods so that I can feel happy about pushing her. Will be running lower boost levels and achieving more power with new set up.
