Where's the best place to get a MAF?

Is the hitachi maf a direct swap; or does anything else need to be done to the DME, or anything else?

The Hitachi MAF is a bolt and requires no cutting of the MAF wires (it comes with a plug in adapter). It does require a matching flash. The advantage (like protomotive's Ford MAF, which is a blow through design) is that on higher boost (maxed out K24s or higher flow) the MAF can actually still read the airflow. The stock MAF is maxed out somewhere around the 525 HP crank mark and not only has a propensity to blow, but airflow at high boost and high RPM is essentially being "guessed" by the program.
In short, aftermarket MAFs allow for better resolution AND almost bulletproof durability while maximizing power and driveability since they can still measure the airflow way past where the stock MAF is maxed out.
My car drives like a stock car in all conditions, throttle positions and RPM on and off boost and no longer blows a MAF every 6 months. GIAC has done masterful job with this product while maintaining the stock maf location and "pull" configuration.
