Help with door handles

I also got the Aluma look door handles and side covers from Gert. Very nice but no instructions. Would anyone know how they should be installed?

The U-tube just snaps in - you need a non ruining tool to pry the leather one off without damaging it...
As for the bin covers - u need a torx although some of the screws are at wierd angles and thus a PITA!! Id PM AMG-ETR since he did this last weekend so its still fresh in his memory...

I just installed the CF handles and bins from Gert last week. Very simple, but tedious (sp?). The handles gently pry off, and the new ones snap back in. I used a screwdriver and went clip by clip (look on your new handles to see their locations).

The bins...
They have about 12 screws on each side (they are visible when you flip them up inside the bin on the underside of the bin. They are Torque(sp?) screws. Just unscrew these remove the old bin, put the new one on, and screw them back in. Like I said easy, but very tight space, tough to get in there...
Regards,
Evan

/.. PITA? PITA you say !?!!
If I ever sell my car, don't tell the buyer that I only put about half of those little buggers back in. (I did save them all so if one rainy Saturday morning I am really bored I have something to do between cartoons)

I think I now have a good understanding of the install. Thank you all for your help.

Just get one of the open end wrenches (small) with a ratchet on the other end (Home Depot). Add the adapter and the correct torx bit and it makes the job SOOOO simple. It is only about 1 inch deep total and is easy to fit in the hard to get places and turn... since it is a ratchet. Without it I would not have even tried to replace all of the screws.

Glad I'm not the only one that did this!
