You see to me the facelifted headlight on the TT and 2002+ cars are pretty round. I mean everyone likes to act like they are similar to boxster headlights but to me they look pretty damn round. The headlight is round and so is the fog, but they are connected is that some big deal. I like both headlights, but the 996 is unique.

i think the 997 headlight w/ the turn signals in the front bumper look too busy... I prefer the smooth flowing design of the 996 02+ headlight assembly

The 996 headlights are definitely better, porsche should have taken a step forward in design not backward. They could have at least done something similar to the carrera GT lights which are gorgeous.

I don't have as much of a problem w/the headlights as I do the TAIL lights! Looks disconnected back there. IMO, it'd be nice to connect like the 993 S did. The headlights are okay on the 997 and 996, don't love either and I don't hate either.

You know, I don't like the look of the 997 either. For that matter, I didn't like the look of the 996 when it first came out vs the 993. Now I'm singing a different song. Either I'm behind the times or Porsche is a "good" designer, a little bit ahead of their time. So even though I like the 996 better than the 997, I wouldn't be suprised if I changed my opinion in the future.

When the 997 first came out I "really" didn't like the interior at all. The lights weren't that great either but the more I see it the more it's growing on me. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to get rid of my TT-Cab for the 997S Cab but it's looking better every time I see it.

But then again that what I said about the last 2 porsches too....

Did someone say 997 TT Cab with 500HP?

There's not much I like about the 997's looks, including the round headlights.

yup, round headlights and running/fog lights in the bumper cover is a 997 no starter for me...

I don't care what shape the headlights are, as long as any assclown with a flathead screwdriver can't pry them out and put them in his Civic.

Hey Arm

Are they still stealing headlights in The Grove and The Gables? I know the cops busted a ring a while back. I wanted to take my wife to dinner on Ponce a few weeks ago and change my mind because I didn't want to come out and see holes in my car. And if you give it to a valet down there(or on South Beach), they do a Ferris Buller on you.

well at least it allowed the 996 to be somewhat of a novelity/classic with it's only ever retro look headlight. no other 911 has or may ever have a non rounded head light. something to be happy about even though they did whored out the 996.
